Kind and reliable babysitter in Amsterdam

Kind, friendly and reliable baby sitter with over five years’ experience. I enjoy working with children of all ages and have a fun and outgoing attitude. I am highly organized and dependable with a roster of returning client families who I have loved working for over the years. I have recently moved to Amsterdam with my partner and am currently taking a break from my career as a professional archaeologist where I have worked in the consulting industry for over six years. In my free time I enjoy cooking, crafts and sewing, hiking, caring for foster greyhounds and traveling. I love spending time outdoors in nature. As part of my babysitting services, I always pride myself on ensuring the safety and comfort of the children is at the forefront, while also creating a fun and creative environment for the kids and keeping the parents informed throughout my stay. During the five years, I had several families with children who I cared for on a weekly and casual basis. The ages of children I cared for ranged from eight months to 14 years old. At most, I cared for three children at a time. In this role, I was responsible for: • escorting the kids home from/to school (either by walking with them or driving) • preparing age-appropriate afternoon snacks and dinner (factoring in any dietary requirements as necessary) • providing entertainment for the kids • supporting learning goals and assisting with homework and tutoring • driving them to their after-school activities where necessary • perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning and organizing as necessary. The shift lengths have varied between 2 – 8 hours. One of the regular families required that I care for the three kids overnight while the parents were away on work trips. I was happy to accommodate and ensure the kids bedtime routines were adhered to and that I could assist with the morning routine the next day.
